When we are confronted with what seems like an impossible situation of frustration, sadness, or grief, it can be helpful to find someone to walk side-by-side with us as we find our way.

Life Transitions

"I don't know what's wrong with me.  I seem to have everything, but I'm just not happy."

"After all these years working I just got laid off.  My job has always been my identity!"

"My last child just left home for college.  I thought I was looking forward to it, but I'm devastated."

"I'm supposed to be retiring from work, but I don't know what to do with myself."

When changes occur in our lives, some people find it helpful to have a guide through the dark forest to the light on the other side. A minor symptom of problems with life transitions would be that you have a mild discomfort of things just not going right.   Some major symptoms that can occur are depression, substance abuse, marital problems, and family dissention.

What I can offer is to be the person you come to for help in finding your way through the forest.  You could be surprised at the relief you feel after the first session. This is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. Someone understands.  There is someone to talk to.

Call me to ask about my work.

I want to thank you so much for the session that you had with me and the report that you did on my strengths. Having someone sit down with me, listen to me intently, offer words of wisdom, and put my thoughts into perspectives of different strengths helped me so much!! - Chad S. -(in transition as his parents divorce)
